Dr. Anthony TRIOUX received his PhD in Electronics from the Univ. Polytechnique Hauts-de-France in France in 2019. After his graduation, he worked as an Assistant Professor at the Deparment of Electrical and telecommunicaion Engineering at the Centrale Lille Institute in Lille, France for one year. From September 2020 to January 2023, he worked as an associate professor, master's supervisor, and doctoral supervisor (joint guidance) at the Univ. Polytechnique Hauts-de-France.

Anthony joined the School of Telecommunications Engineering at Xidian University in January 2023 and was awarded the honorary title of Huashan Elite Associate Professor.

His research directions mainly on the field of multimedia communication, including but not limited to 3D media compression methods, low bitrate generative face coding, error correction methods for video communication, ultra-low latency and reliable video encoding and transmission for unmanned aerial vehicles and connected vehicles.

He has participated in multiple French national level projects and has published 30 high-level academic papers in internationally renowned journals and conferences. He has also been invited to give 4 tutorial presentations and 2 keynote speeches at internationally renowned conferences in the field of video processing (IEEE 2 * VCIP, ICECS, and EUSIPCO).

He is a recipient of two mobile exchange funds, Maupertuis for France-Finland mobility and TOR for France-Sweden mobility (both with an admission rate of about 10%), as well as a recipient of the Erasmus+Teaching Mobile Exchange Fund. As a special invited teacher, he went to teach at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU).

Meanwhile, Anthony is an expert of the International Organization for Standardization (ISO/IEC) and a member of the Moving Picture Experts Group (MPEG).

In addition, Anthony has established extensive and friendly cooperations with multiple universities and scholars internationally, and has visited well-known foreign universities such as Institut Polytechnique and Centrale Supelec in Paris, École de Technologie Supérieure Montreal, Canada, Tampere University in Finland, Norwegian University of Science and Technology, and Linköping University in Sweden as a visiting scholar.

Anthony, together with 10 senior domestic and foreign experts, applied for an international cooperation base and was approved in 2024 as the head of the Xi'an International Cooperation Base on "Key Technologies and Applications of Visual Media Communication".

At the same time, Anthony serves as an Associate Editor of the EURASIP Journal on Image and Video Processing and is a member of the technical committees of multiple international conferences (QoMEX,WCNC,etc.). He is also an anonymous reviewers for multiple journals and internationally renowned conferences (IEEE ICASSP, ICME, ICIP, etc.).
